As promised part two of the pictures of the show. I hope you enjoy!
Two weeks after my first fashion show. It's a lazy saterday and I just received the official pictures of the show. It's so exciting to see and I'm experiencing the day over and over again. I was backstage during the show of course and didn't see the full show. These pictures give an inside. Here are some of my favourites.
Watch the beautiful models at the runway. Part two will follow soon!
Saturday the 1st of July was the day of my first collection presentation of my label 'Carolin'.
Finally after weeks of hardwork and preparation I was totally ready for the show. The collection was on point, the fittings with the models done, music mixed and an amazing location.
Everything was ready and the day was one of the best days of my life. It's an amazing feeling
that everything you believe in turns out te be completely right. These pictures give an insight behind the scenes of my show. The pictures of the show will follow soon!
This is it. Just one night left and it's time. Time for my first real fashion show.
The presentation of my new collection. The last week has been a roller coaster and a dream at the same time.
So much done and so many people involved.
It's amazing how things has developed in the past weeks and months. It felt like a lot of doors opened and I am very thankful for are the help I got during this period of preparation. Support from friends and family, especially my mum. A lot of help from the girls of Studio Dress. We had so much fun during our day of hard work as you can see in the pictures. A lot of good vibes from the Streets. People who actually take the time to respond on my outfits. The men of the fabric market who where willing to spread flyers; Timo Verhaegh for taking care of the beautifull music; all the models who are involved in this project and ofcourse the amazing organisation.
I am ready and really looking forward for tomorrow. Hope to see you there!
I am wearing a culotte jumpsuit which is one of the designs the new collection. I remember when I went out to buy the fabrics for the new collection I got this irresistable feeling to add purple to the collection. It's such a beautifull color which I have never used before and you rarely see on the streets. I was very happy with the fabric but still felt a little strange about the color. Untill a few weeks ago when my hairdresser told me:
"You know purple is the color of new beginnings right?
People get an urge for purple when their life is about to change".
I had never heard of this before. We made jokes about it and laughed. Most of the time I don't believe in
these kind of quotes but when I left the salon I felt excited. It could be a sign, right?

I hope to see you there!!
Last week I had a couple of days off from the lawyers office and Studio Dress which gave me some extra time to focus a hundred percent on designing. It felt like a luxery to have the time to focus on one thing, although I love the different projects I am involved with. Once in a while it neccesary to take a step back and give your mind a break. So I settled myself on designing. It's makes me very happy to see the collection grow as it should because time runs fast. Only seven weeks left till the show!
This picture was taken in front of the court which is a familiar place for me because of my job. I come here on a regular base to drop off documents for one of our lawyers. I am wearing a purple culotte jumpsuit in combination with a bordeaux red top and a beige wollen coat. All part of the new collection. The coat is my favourite at the moment and very suitable for this time of the year.
My sister took this picture close to the city centre of Arnhem. It's a beautiful place where a few roads come together. I'm wearing a grey sweater which is a new design and inspired on a vintage selfmade sweater of my mum.
Perfect in combination with a grey high waisted trousers which is also part of the new collection.

Since the date of the show is settled at the first of July I spent all my free time working on the collection. Past
sunday a photoshoot was planned to see how the collections evolves. The day was sunny and my sister and I couldn't wait to get started. A shoot is always exciting for me and I'm questioning myself: Will we find this great locations again? Are my designs on point? What about the weather? Luckily all circumstances turned out to be totally fine and these are the first pictures. We found this beautifull wall right at the beginning of the shoot.

This week I had an appointment with my teacher of the fashion school. She ordered this green coat during my first sale. She is this amazing woman who taught so many woman and men to draw and design and supports us to find our way in de fashion industry. This made me feel very honored to design something for her. I was a little nervous for the fitting but she and the coat looked amazing. These are the special moments which makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
